Orbit Micro today announced the Rhino M20, a battery powered slim rugged portable System with a 15″ LCD, Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile processor and 2 expansion slots. The Rhino M20 was built for military and industrial customers that want the portability of a laptop, but the expansion of a desktop.
The Rhino M20 features the Core 2 Duo Mobile processor, codename Merom. The Merom has mostly the same features as its desktop brethren, Conroe, but with more emphasis on low power consumption to enhance battery life. The Merom based Core 2 Duo processor is also the first Intel mobile processor to feature Intel 64 architecture.

The National Electrical Manufacturer Association or NEMA developed what is known as NEMA ratings. Which are standards that define the types of environments in which an electrical enclosure can be used. NEMA ratings classify the degrees of protection from external ice, corrosive materials, oil immersion, dust, water, etc. Please refer to the table below for specific NEMA type designations.
Please note that while it is possible to compare NEMA ratings and IP ratings, any such comparison is only related to the protection provided against dust and moisture.

The conventional 32-bit PCI bus is ideal for slower speed peripherals such as sound cards, modems, and Fast Ethernet cards, but for an enterprise application needing Ultra 320 SCSI, Fibre Channel, and Gigabit Ethernet cards, a 64-bit PCI bus is the way to go. A 64-bit PCI bus provides higher overall throughput for high-performance adapters and better system efficiency by providing the same data in fewer PCI clock cycles. A 66-MHz PCI bus doubles the data throughput over the same amount of time. The benefits of both 64-bit and 66-MHz PCI implementations are better PCI bus utilization, better overall PCI bus efficiency, and a substantial increase in PCI bus performance.
