The DW-860 features NEMA 4, 4X ratings. NEMA rated type 4 products are meant to be used in indoor or outdoor applications, and must provide protection against falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust, splashing water, hose-directed water, and must be undamaged by the formation of ice on the enclosure. NEMA rated type 4X products provide all the protection of NEMA 4 with the addition of protection against corrosion.
