Harsh outdoor applications are usually subjugated to high brightness environments when the sun is out. With added touch screen functionality and protective lenses, the luminance of the screen can even be further reduced. Typical commercial panels have a brightness lower than 200 cd/m2, the ISDM series uses a high brightness panel (more than 300 cd/m2 in some cases) to overcome the brightness of the sun on the panel.
IP68 Compliant Front LCD Panel
The IP65 standard is the highest dusty, water, and oil proof rating for ground usage. It prevents and micro-particals from entering the system through the front panel. Therefore allowing it to keep working in the harshest of environments.
