Product Line Overview

RAIDDrive

RAIDDrive is designed to break the throughput bottleneck in the storage subsystem by removing the bandwidth limitation of the SATA bus. The PCIe x8 interface used by RAIDDrive SSDs supports 2GB/sec bandwidth, more than ten times that of the SATA-II 3Gbps bus, and five times greater than the not yet available SATA-III bus.

Using patent pending RAID architecture that is optimized for NAND flash memory, RAIDDrive is able to support burst read speeds of up to 1.4GB/sec. A turbocharged cache system with up to 1GB of DRAM cache enables burst write speeds as fast as 1.2GB/sec. RAIDDrive, which houses four discrete SATA SSDs, comes in a custom aluminum enclosure measuring 257 x 107 x 25.4 mm. Higher capacity RAIDDrive models use the RAIDDrive Expander – a separate PCIe card – to hold a total of eight SATA SSDs.

UltraDrive

Super Talent’s UltraDrive SSDs are built to deliver cutting edge storage performance. We combine state-of-the-art controllers with high speed cache and off-the-shelf SLC and MLC NAND flash to deliver sequential read and write speeds in excess of 200MB/sec. Whether you need exceptional transaction speeds for a database server or super fast sequential read and write speeds for a high performance laptop or desktop, the UltraDrive has you covered.

All UltraDrive SSDs are rigorously qualified in Super Talent’s compatibility labs with strict hardware and software testing standards for consistency and functionality. UltraDrive SSDs incorporate advanced error correction (ECC), wear leveling and bad block management technologies to ensure unmatched reliability and exceptional endurance. These SSDs also have far better shock and vibration resistance, support broader operating temperature and altitude ranges, and use a fraction as much power compared to hard disk drives.

Performance is highly dependent upon test environment and use case. Consult our benchmarking data in our UltraDrive GX whitepaper for more detailed performance information or benchmark performance in your environment.

MasterDrive

Super Talent’s MasterDrive series SSD brings the solid state drive to a whole new audience. No longer just for the military, enterprise and elite users, the MasterDrive Series SSD is truly affordable. And Super Talent doesn’t strip out features to bring down the price. Models can include no-compromise features like SATA-II technology for exceptionally fast read speeds of up to 230MB/sec, and the same resistance to shock and vibration as all Super Talent’s SSDs. MasterDrive SSDs deliver the performance and reliability today’s mobile enthusiasts demand. Super Talent’s Flash management techniques increase reliability and endurance, and continue to provide unprecedented vibration and shock tolerance. Our software and hardware testing ensures the utmost quality of each MasterDrive SSD.

Netbook SSDs

Super Talent produces custom Solid State Drives (SSDs) for the netbook market. These SSDs are a cost-effective alternative compared to hard drives in the UMPC market. These SSDs are small and lightweight and are based on NAND Flash. And like all Super Talent SSDs, these netbook SSDs have outstanding reliability and endurance.

DuraDrive

Super Talent’s DuraDrive SSDs are the next generation product for data storage since they are genuinely state-of-the-art vibration and shock tolerant and operate in either a commercial temperature range of 0°C – 70°C or an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Users will experience enhanced system performance and increased durability and reliability when incorporating the DuraDrive SSD in applications that come across environments with severe conditions.

Flash Disk Modules

NAND Flash based IDE Flash Disk Modules (FDMs) are ideal for embedded computing applications. The industry standard IDE connector plugs directly into a motherboard using a 40- or 44-pin IDE connector, and uses a 5V power input.

eSATA

The eSATA drive can be used in either an external SATA or a USB 2.0/1.1 port. Through the eSATA port it supports read and write speeds two to three times faster than USB flash drives and is ideal for transporting large files.

This Digital Engine has an Intel Atom N270 processor and 1GB DDR memory pre-installed on board, as well as Intel GMA integrated graphics. Additionally, it is equipped with a quick bay on the front panel for 2.5-inch SATA hard-disk and CF slot. This allows sliding in the hard disk during the assembly, without opening the case. HDD and CF card with pre-loading OS and signage software made by SI/VAR can be inserted easily by end-customers without any hassle.

Additional features of the AOpen DE2700 for HD content reproduction includes a DVI-I interface to support dual display content, media content support up to 480p/720p, and an optional Broadcom HD accelerator Mini Card.

Expandability and Connectivity

AOpen DE2700 has excellent expansion possibilities. It can be equipped with an optional wireless or TV tuner card (mini-card slot). It also features two RS232 COM ports, allowing connection to peripheral and communication devices for use in POS applications, and dual gigabit LAN ports allow for high performance networking capabilities. Four USB 2.0 ports give plenty of room to for peripheral connectivity. The embedded Watchdog Timer allows for near 100% uptime, by helping the system recover from fatal errors or system crashes. The fanless design with no moving parts minimizes mechanical breakdowns. Using a solid state drive renders the DE2700 completely silent.

Green Product

The AOpen DE2700 belongs to the AOpen Green Product range, complying with Energy Star 4.0. Energy Star is an officially recognized way to save money through energy efficiency and help the environment without sacrificing performance. The Energy Star standard has been developed to save energy at home and office. Through an energy-efficient design of hardware and system components, the system will use less energy to perform tasks, and will enter low-power modes, when not in use. The DE2700 is also fully RoHS compliant.

Accessories

A full range of accessories and mounting solutions for digital signage and kiosk applications is available. Accessories like a Mini Card Wireless Kit, Mini Card TV-tuner, Broadcom HD accelerator Mini Card, and a variety of Digital Engine Mounting Kits and solutions.
Their sealed fanless design prevent the harming effects of dust and dirt from inhibiting the performance on these systems. The all new Intel Atom processor offers low power consumption high performance processing to keep up with the demands on your industrial applications. Built to withstand harsh hot environments, these systems will keep working in temperatures up to 55 degress Celsius or 131 degrees Fahrenheit, as long as their is active airflow over the system.

NISE 100

The NISE 100 is our low cost Intel Atom based industrial fanless system. The NISE 100 supports two RS-232 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port, one Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB ports, one PS/2 for keyboard/mouse, and one DVI-I for VGA and DVI-D display. With a 12V DC input, the NISE 100 can be easily powered by readily available DC power sources or an AC outlet using an AC/DC power adapter. And the best part is that this system packs all these feattures in a form factor that is smaller than most books.

The NISE 2000 series systems feature high speed RS-485 interfaces with a baud rate up to 921.6Kbps, jumper-free RS-232/422/485 settings, auto direction control, and industrial preferred screw terminals.

The NISE 2000 series is designed to provide RS-485 Serial communication at baud rates up to 921.6Kbps, which is ideal for connecting remote devices in building or industrial automation. It may be used to control video surveillance systems or to interconnect security control panels and other devices such as access control card readers. At high speed baud rates up to 921.6Kbps, NISE 2000 series fanless PC, can deliver high throughput and reduced response times.

In the past, it was necessary to adjust jumper settings in order to switch from RS-232 to RS-422 or RS-485. By contrast the user-friendly NISE 2000 series allows you set RS232/422/485 in BIOS without changing the jumper setting. Jumper-free setting is extremely convenient and reduces the time required to read the user-manual and open the case in order to set the jumper during setup. It also reduces the possibility of wrong settings.

The NISE 2000 series PC is also designed to provide RS-485 with auto data direction control, without any programming effort, to control the transmission direction of the RS485 signal. Most industrial computers have a control line, often referred to as the RTS handshake line, which enables and disables the driver via host software control. Before transmission, users assert the RTS line to enable the driver, and de-assert the RTS line at the completion of the transmission. With the NISE 2000 series fanless PC, it is unnecessary to set RTS pin for data direction or do any additional programming on RS485 to conduct read/write data.

The NISE 2000 series fanless embedded computer provides four serial ports which are all RS-232. However, COM3 and COM4 not only provide an RS-232 signal but also provide an RS-422/485 signal with an industrial preferred screw terminal. It is therefore easy to switch from RS-232 to RS-422 or to RS485 via the BIOS. In addition, the industry standard screw terminal provides convenient cabling for users who require RS232/422/485 switching.
